Company: NQ Visiorence LLC
Location: Arlington, Texas (Hybrid / On-site)
Job Type: Full-time
About Us
NQ Visiorence LLC is a forward-thinking technical consultancy and research firm specializing in crack/defect detection (Non-Destructive Testing methodologies), defect analysis (AI/ML-based Failure Analysis), customized solutions, and high-fidelity mechanical engineering simulations. We bridge the gap between physical structural integrity assessments and cutting-edge data analytics to deliver predictive insights for high-stakes industrial applications.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled AI / Data Science Specialist (Mechanical Engineering Track) to pioneer the integration of machine learning frameworks with traditional mechanical testing and physical simulations. In this role, you will act as a core technical bridge—translating advanced physics, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and raw NDT inspection data into automated, predictive algorithms.
The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of mechanical behavior and structural mechanics, alongside a strong proficiency in data science architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Simulation & ML Integration: Write robust Python scripts and APIs to couple machine learning models with advanced physics-based simulation data from platforms such as COMSOL Multiphysics and Abaqus.
- Predictive Modeling: Build and validate predictive maintenance and remaining useful life (RUL) models for critical industrial components, utilizing both structural physics and real-world asset operational data.
- Data Pipeline Engineering: Clean, structure, and optimize large streams of technical sensor data and finite element datasets to feed predictive model training pipelines.
- R&D Collaboration: Work closely with our advanced simulation specialists and field NDT teams to transform theoretical sensor designs into smart, data-driven diagnostic systems.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Master’s or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science, Data Science (with a heavy physical sciences background), or a strictly related field.
- Programming Core: Expert proficiency in Python and its scientific computing ecosystem (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch).
- Engineering Foundation: Strong understanding of structural mechanics, material optimization, wave mechanics, or electromagnetics.
- Software Familiarity: Direct experience or clear familiarity with automation interfaces for FEA software (e.g., COMSOL LiveLink for Python/MATLAB, Abaqus Python Scripting API).
- Data Analytical Skills: Experience processing time-series sensor data, acoustic signals, or 2D/3D image data for feature extraction.
Preferred Skills & Attributes
- Experience working with or interpreting NDT industry methodologies (ASNT standards, ultrasonic signals, magnetic flux leakage data).
- Familiarity with physics-informed neural networks (PINNs).
- Exceptional technical documentation habits to ensure data tracking complies with our strict quality assurance and liability protocols.
- Strong communication skills to effectively share data insights with multi-disciplinary industrial clients.
What We Offer
- The opportunity to shape a foundational role in a fast-growing, tech-driven firm.
- Direct involvement in high-impact R&D initiatives and strategic industrial partnerships.
- Competitive salary and professional development paths in cutting-edge industrial AI.
